Hydronic D4W Systems

Choose between the 4kW system for single matrix installations or the 5kW system for twin matrix requirements.

Eberspächer now offers a miniature diesel fueled water heating system designed specifically for the motorhome market.

The HYDRONIC independent heating system is the cost effective alternative to a traditional gas heating systems combining the very latest self-regulating technology with extremely low power and fuel consumption.

The heating system offers automatic sensing and temperature control of the vehicle interior, and at the same time providing sufficient stored hot water for domestic needs.

For saloon heating only the Airtronic is the perfect solution.

• Installed underfloor or in engine compartment.

• Fuel supply taken directly from the vehicle fuel tank. One 2kW fan matrix unit in saloon providing controlled warm air heating.

• 10 litre hot water storage hot water-tank. l Thermostatic mixer valve automatically blends hot and cold water to increase available hot water.

• Engine preheating reduces engine wear when starting.

How the system works
The Hydronic circulates the engine coolant to the hot water-tank and fan matrix situated in the rear of the vehicle. The engine is also preheated by the returning coolant. The schematic below shows the heating system components and these interface with the engine coolant.

The Hydronic is mounted within the engine compartment and connected into the engine coolant system using Tee Pieces. The main pipe runs should be 20mm I/D Rubber Hose reduced to 15mm I/D as near to the hot water-tank and Fan Matrix as possible.
